Meet the cast of This Random World:
Director John Elliott has directed one play for MRTC in each of our eight seasons. His last three shows were Top Girls by Caryl Churchill, The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion and On the Verge by Eric Overmyer. John is impossible to button-hole into one type of play. He submits plays from many genres stretching from fantasy thorough comedy to serious drama. He continues to bring plays to the mid-Willamette Valley that are not normally performed here.
Michael Wren is a veteran Company member. He played Lou Fischer in the MRTC Production of If I Forget last February and has many roles stretching back to 2015. He appeared in Bloomsday , The Last Romance, and Distracted.
Arlee Olson appeared in last November’s Women Playing Hamlet, On the Verge in Season Seven and If I Forget in February.
Harriet Owen Nixon started in community theater as a preteen, making her debut in Ah Wilderness at Albany Civic Theatre. Since then, she has appeared in many shows, including No Exit with MRTC and Venus in Fur on The Majestic main stage. She also directs, her credits include I Am My Own Wife which was performed at four venues throughout the Willamette Valley in 2019.
Danyelle Tinker received her BA in Theatre Arts from Western Oregon University. She now lives in Astoria. She is coming straight off of her appearance in the MRTC March production of The Heidi Chronicles. Her credits include Elaine in Night Watch for North End Players and Suzanne in The Twilight of the Golds for Twilight Theater Company both in Portland.
Don Taco was in the very first MRTC production of Proof in September of 2013. He has since directed six shows for the Company and had a major role in our Season Seven production of The Quality of Life.
Michaela Lonning is making her first appearance as a Majestic Readers' Theater Company member. Her interest in acting began in high school plays and after watching several MRTC productions she is looking forward to joining us on the Majestic Video Stage. Michaela lived for several years in Corvallis, and even though she now resides in Eugene, she continues to visit Corvallis for its small-town charm. She knew the Majestic was the perfect place to start as a new actor.
Charlotte J. Headrick holds the Ph.D. in theatre from the University of Georgia. She is a one-time member of Actor’s Equity. Her favorite roles include Rima in Dolly West’s Kitchen(O.SU.), Signora Baptista in Taming of the Shrew (Bard in the Quad), Regina in The Little Foxes (LBCC) and Kate in All MySons (OSU). Retired from Oregon State, she has directed dozens of plays all over the country. She is internationally known for her work in Irish theatre and she is co-editor of Irish Women Dramatists, 1908-2001 (Syracuse University Press).
