One of the best things about community theater is the collaboration.
A new and local non-profit, Black Rose Theatre Company, is creating an acting opportunity and splitting the profits between The Whiteside, The Russell Tripp Performance Center, Albany Civic Theater, and us!
This incredible group is producing the musical "Island Song", written by Sam Carner, Derek Gregor, and Marlo Hunter.
This show tells the story of five contemporary New Yorkers as they pursue their passions, resist distraction, and live out a "twisted love affair" with the city, "Island Song" captures every urbanite's triumphs, disappointments, and ever-tested perspective.
It will be rehearsed and performed following social distancing and COVID preventative guidelines and filmed for audiences to enjoy at home with a Pay-What-You-Can option.

It's times like this that we are so thankful for volunteers and the continuous and creative support from local artists. We are all suffering in these tough times and can only benefit by all working together.
