The Majestic Theatre (a division of the City of Corvallis Parks and Recreation department) is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion and to creating a safe place for actors of all backgrounds to explore their craft. This audition is for an amateur, volunteer production. There are several non-singing roles in this production. To be considered for these, please submit an audition form as well as a video of yourself performing one or all of the phrases in the accent requested, using the reference videos linked below. We are listening for the accents and these phrases are not gender specific at this time. We will be using the Acting with an Accent series by David Allen Stern as a guide for actual rehearsals.

Hungarian:
"I am your pupil, your first, best and greatest pupil. I am Zoltan Karpathy, that marvelous boy. I have made your name famous throughout Europe. You teach me phonetics. You cannot forget me."
Standard British:
"And you mean to say that after you did this wonderful thing for them without a single mistake, they just sat there and never said a word to you? Never admired you or told you how splendid you'd been?"
and/or
"You know what I can't stand about you, Higgins? It's your confounded complacency. In a moment like this, with so much at stake, it's utterly indecent that you don't need a little Port. What of the girl? You act as if she doesn't matter at all."
Cockney:
"Here, you be careful...Better give him a flower fer it. There's a bloke there behind the pillar taking down every blessed word you're saying."
