Majestic Theatre COVID-19 Precautions
Expired 4/4/22

In order to safeguard the community, enable access to critical arts and culture programming, and ensure revenues required for operations, the Majestic Theatre has deployed a COVID-19 risk mitigation plan that includes vaccine verification, negative testing, and masking.

As the masking and other risk mitigation mandates change here in Oregon, the Majestic Theatre will change our COVID-19 risk mitigation policy and practices based upon feedback from our volunteers, patrons, and staff as well as information from health authorities and other professional performance venues. With the current downward trending projections from Oregon Health & Science University, we are confident in beginning to make changes to our current risk mitigation policy. These changes will be phased over the coming months to allow our community members to feel safe in engaging our programming as the current COVID-19 Omicron surge ends. Please review this page regularly to see what the current requirements are.

The Majestic Theatre’s current mitigation plan for indoor performances includes:

Vaccine Verification & Negative Testing Requirements

All patrons regardless of age will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated or negative COVID-19 test results from within 48 hours upon arrival at the Majestic Theatre. For test results, patrons must provide printed proof of a negative COVID-19 test. For vaccination, patrons must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination (at least two weeks after final dose) in the form of either the original vaccination card or a printed copy of the vaccination card. For patrons over the age of sixteen, an appropriate ID matching the name on your documentation for patrons will be required.

  • All performers will provide proof of being fully vaccinated or a weekly negative test upon arrival for rehearsals or performances.

  • All volunteers will provide proof of being fully vaccinated or a weekly negative test upon arrival for rehearsals or performances. For weekly negative testing, home test are acceptable.

  • All Majestic staff are fully vaccinated and will remain in compliance with the current City workplace policies associated with COVID-19.

Masking Requirements

Masking that covers the nose and mouth is required for all patrons, volunteers, and performers. Masks must be kept on while inside the theater, unless performing on stage or when asked by a staff member to remove their masks, or drinking. Face shields or bandanas are not an acceptable face covering.

Ticketing & Event Changes

No refunds will be authorized for patrons refusing to comply with the COVID-19 risk mitigation strategies in place at the Majestic Theatre. Please consider this before purchasing tickets to in-person events.

No concessions will be offered for events. Water is available in the lobby and at water fountains. NO DRINKS OR WATER BOTTLES WILL BE PERMITTED INSIDE THE AUDITORIUM.

Streaming Access

To provide an option for patrons who cannot attend under the above risk mitigation requirements, when possible within rights requirements Majestic performances will be recorded and available via our Streaming Access page to be viewed. Typically the streaming version will be available one week after the live version so that we can have the opportunity to add closed captioning.

Additional precautions, requirements, or changes will be employed as the COVID-19 situation evolves.
