AUDITIONS  for

STORY THEATRE

From Stories in the Grimm Brothers' Collection

    and Aesop's Fables

 Directed by Robert Leff

The Show - Story Theatre is a collection of famous stories from the Grimm Brothers and Aesop.  Here you will meet again Henny Penny, The Bremen Town Musicians, The Golden Goose, The Robber Bridegroom and other favorites.

Where - Majestic Theatre, 115 SW 2nd Street, Corvallis

When -  Monday June 14 and Tuesday June 15, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

             Possible Callbacks Wednesday June 16

             Actors should wear comfortable clothes which allow movement.

Casting: Story Theatre is an ensemble show with roles for 4-5 men and 3-4 women. Actors will play people, animals, birds and fish. In the show, the actors tell the story and play the characters.  This is a physically demanding show.  The director will consider actors age 16 and older.

The Auditions - We will read  from the script and play improvisational games and exercises.  Be ready to be active, creative, playful and physical.

Scripts - A selection of stories from the show are available for checkout from the Majestic Theatre Box Office during normal business hours (Mon.-Fri., 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

Rehearsals will begin Monday June 21 and will run five nights a week.

Performance Dates - August 20, 21, 26 and 29 in Starker Arts Park.

Robert Leff has directed for the Majestic Theatre, Oregon State University, Corvallis Community Theatre and Albany Civic Theatre. His recent productions include: Christmas In Oregon, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Miser, Bat Boy:The Musical, and Seven Keys To Baldpate.
